Court upholds Astra Margarine Harmful to kids under 3 years
(Colombo Lankapuvath) Kahatagasdigiliya Magistrate today ordered the manufacturers of Astra margarine to specify in their margarine packets that Astra margarine is harmful to children under three years of age.
The court informed that E-319 substance in Astra margarine effected the growth of children under three years.
Court also stated that despite the heath ministry directing the manufacturers of the said product to state that warning on the Astra margarine packet labels, the manufacturers have continued to ignore the directive issued by the Ministry. (read all scientific data)

Hungary Destroys All Monsanto GMO Corn
In March, Hungary introduced a new regulation that states seeds must be checked for GMO before they are introduced to the market. However, some GMO seeds made it to the farmers without their being aware of it.
As a result, almost 1,000 acres of maize found to have been grown with genetically modified seeds have been destroyed throughout Hungary. The deputy state secretary of the Ministry of Rural Development Lajos Bognar said that the GMO maize has been ploughed under, and pollen has not spread from the maize.
Planetsave reports:
"Unlike several EU members, GMO seeds are banned in Hungary. The checks will continue despite the fact that seed traders are obliged to make sure that their products are GMO free, Bognar said."

“සියළුම සාහසික අපරාධ, අන්තර්ජාලය මුල්කරගනිමින් ක්‍රියාත්මක වන සමාජ ජාල හරහා මෙහෙයවන්නේ නම් ඒවා වහාම තහනම් කිරීමට පියවර ගත යුතුයි.” යනුවෙන් ලන්ඩනයේ ඇති වෙමින් පවතින ජනතා කැරැල්ල පාලනය කිරීම සඳහා ගතයුතු පියවරු කුමක්දැයි අධ්‍යනය කිරීම සඳහා පැවැති විශේෂ පාර්ලිමේන්තු විවාදය අමතමින් බ්‍රිතාන්‍ය අග්‍රාමාත්‍ය ඩේවිඩ් කැමරූන් ඊයේ දින (11) පවසා සිටි බව එම විදෙස් වාර්තා වල සඳහන් වේ.
“යම් ලෙසකින් තත්ත්වය පාලනයකර ගත නොහැකි ලෙස තව තවත් දරුණු ආකාරයකින් වර්ධනය වූවහොත් අන්තර්ජාලය හරහා ක්‍රියාත්මක වන සමාජ ජාලයන් සියල්ලම වසා දැමීමට මාගේ රජය කිසි ලෙසකින්වත් පසුබට නො වේ.” යැයි ද ඔහු මෙහිදී පවසා ඇත.
“නිදහස් මත ප්‍රකාශ කිරීම සමාජයේ යහා පැවැත්ම මුල්කරගනිමින් ක්‍රියාත්මක වන්නක්. එහෙත් සමාජය විනාශකර දැමීම සඳහා නිදහස් අදහස් යනුවෙන් දෙයක් තිබිය හැකිද?” යනුවෙන් මෙහිදී ප්‍රශ්න කරමින් අසා ඇති ඔහු “මෙම අන්තර්ජාල සමාජ ජාලයන් මෙම සාහසික ක්‍රියාවන්ට කෙසේ උපකාරී වී ඇද්ද යන්න පිළිබඳව අපි ගැඹුරින් අධ්‍යනය කරමින් සිටිනවා.” යැයි සඳහන් කරමින් ඉදිරියේදී එම ජාලයන් බ්‍රිතාන්‍ය තුළ අවහිර කිරීමට ඔහුගේ රජයට ඇති උවමනාව පෙන්වා දෙමින් පවසා සිටි බව ඉහත විදෙස් වාර්තා වල සඳහන් වේ.
